“GET CREATIVE” MUSIC RESOURCE LAUNCH AND MUSIC CPD

Are you interested in developing your skills in delivering music in the classroom?
CAST are launching Get Creative, a music resource aimed at all primary teachers, packed full of
creative ideas, activities and learning outcomes to enable you to deliver musical activities with your
class, regardless of your musical experience.

Get Creative has been developed by Jenny England, Primary Music Specialist.
Jenny will be delivering practical, interactive twilight CPD sessions in May.
The session will give an overview of how to use the resource, with a particular focus on
Get Creative with Rhythm.
By the end of the training you will:
• be able to navigate your way around the resource
• have the skills and confidence to facilitate a creative rhythm lesson
• be able to use what you have learnt to plan a series of progressive lessons based around rhythm
skills
• understand the wider educational benefits of bringing rhythm play into the classroom
No musical experience is necessary.
All teachers attending will receive a copy of the resource for their school.
