Rugby Session at Minard, Furnace and Achahoish!

Minard, Furnace and Achahoish schools joined together at Furnace Primary school for a fabulous rugby session led by Allan Wright. The weather was wonderful, the children were amazing and the midges were nowhere to be seen. A great afternoon of sport and socialising for the three schools.

Dalintober PS & ELC are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a Gold Sportscotland Award – only 1 of 3 schools in Argyll & Bute to hold this status. We would like to thank every single one of our pupils, staff and parents for their efforts and enthusiasm in taking this forward; all partner and volunteer coaches, instructors and specialists who support the school in establishing and recognising sports across the curriculum and as extra-curricular activities and wider achievements

Arinagour Primary School presented with their Gold Flag Award for 2016 – 2018.

On Monday 6th March Arinagour Primary School were presented with their Gold Flag Award for 2016 – 2018. This award formally recognises a school’s achievement in putting P.E. and school sport at the heart of planning, practice and ethos.
The presentation was made by Mr Stewart Harris, Chief Executive of SportScotland, Lorna Jackson, Robbie Stewart also from SportScotland and Muriel Kupris from Argyll & Bute Council made the long trip to Coll to attend the presentation. This was very much appreciated.

Sport Scotland Award for Strachur Primary

Last week we were very excited to receive a bronze award from Sports Scotland for our physical activity both during class and outwith class time. The award was presented to our oldest pupil, Tara, and youngest pupil, Leonie, by Councillor Alex McNaughton. Also pictured is Active School Co-ordinator for Cowal, Ruairidh McGregor.

Next year we are hoping for silver!
