P6 Weekly Blog

Last week we were very lucky because we were invited to Broxburn Academy for a science and technology day.  As part of the science investigations we used microscopes to view plant cells, we made fizz pop rockets, worked with ooze, measured our heart beat and pulse rate and made a balloon hovercraft.

In CDT we had to design and create a skyscraper in our groups.  We also got to meet other children who will be going to Broxburn Academy with us when we go into S1.

Last week we started our new topic about rivers and we have learnt all of the vocabulary assosiated with rivers eg tribulary, meander, mouth, source and estuary. Why not test us at home to find out what this vocabulary means! We are looking forward to our trip on Wednesday!

  1. Hi Primary 6,

What a super day we had! I really enjoyed visiting Broxburn Academy with you, partly because of the fun activities but also because of your super behaviour on the day. Well done!

I’m going to award 5 house points to all P6 pupils who post a comment with details of your favourite activity on the day. Get commenting! 8)
