At our recent Pumphie Pals meeting our House and Vice captains decided we should investigate how we can improve our dinner hall and finer diner.
We thought about what it should look like, feel like and sound like in our dinner hall. Watch this space!
Two pupils from Bathgate Academy recently took part in the Polar Academy experience. They joined us this morning to share their journey and achievements with us. A huge thank you to the boys who gave us a very inspiring presentation.

We recognised one of Primary 7 pupils who received a West Lothian Young People’s Award for her commitment to buddying and supporting younger children in our school.

Breich received the most house points for term 2 and decided on a Pyjama Party as their house treat. Everyone dressed up in their pjs or onesies and the Primary 7s had organised lots of game like corners and sleeping lions. Thank you to our house and vice captain of Breich for organising such a fun party!
Today we celebrated all things Scottish at our Annual Scottish Assembly.Â
Primary 1-4 submitted two finalists and Primary 5-7 submitted 3 finalists from their classes to recite a Scots or Burns poem.
A huge thank you to our judges Dr Hughes from the Robert Burns World Federation and Mr Jenkins, a local friend of our school who is in the Burns Federation. The winner from each class will be entered into the West Lothian Burns Competition.
We had some fantastic dancing Scottish.

The classes all also learned Scottish songs to perform at the assembly.
Well done to Aiden C, Layla and Lewis who are reciting their poems. Today Eilidh, Olivia P and Aiden C will be entertaining us with their Scottish country dancing at the assembly. As part of the Scottish topic the children have been making stain glass windows. Here are some of their lovely pictures.
These are the poems P5 will be learning for the Scots topic. The children will pick one of these poems to learn. We will start to hear these poems in class next week.
