Announcing the P6/P7 show for 2018

We are pleased to announce that this year the P6/P7 show will be…

P6 and P7 have had an introduction to the story and the characters, and have listened to some of the songs. There appears to be much excitement in both classes and it looks like there will be strong competition for the main parts. Audition pieces will be distributed this coming week.

Each pupil will be given their own copy of the script and will be expected to bring it to school each day. No replacements will be issued.

P7 Scottish Focus – Robert Burns

Happy New Year!

P7 have a very busy term ahead which will include preparing for the annual P6/P7 show – details to follow very soon! Before then we have our traditional Scottish Focus for the first 3 weeks of term. In P7 our focus will be the work of Robert Burns.

The poem choices for P7 are all by Robert Burns. Pupils will be given a choice but they can choose any other poem by Robert Burns that interests them, as long as it is of a suitable level of challenge for Primary 7. Some pupils may opt to learn an extract from Tam O’Shanter as an alternative to a whole poem.

Scots Wha Hae

Address to a Haggis

To a Mountain Daisy

Tam O Shanter

In addition, P7 pupils will have a project to complete about the life and work of Robert Burns. This is due in on 16th February. A copy of the information sheet is attached.

P7 Christmas Party 2017

As you know, P7 along with P6, had their Christmas Party on Monday afternoon. A great time was had by all. What a range of moves they displayed in the disco, and their modern take on Scottish Country Dancing was a sight to behold! Thank you to Miss Conway, Mrs Murdoch and Mr Stewart, as well as our brilliant parent helpers.

Photos below give a taste of the afternoon.
