This morning we had a visit from the SSPCA who told us about what they do to help animals. We learned about lots of different animals by playing a game with question cards containing information. We then got to program a robot cat to move about, meow and make faces.
Very well done for gaining this medal in your recent Swimming Gala in Forth Valley.

Many thanks to all our family and friends for coming along to join us at our assembly today.
We have been finding out all about our place in the world.
As a homework task we found out where we were born and where our parents and grandparents were born. We looked at some of the places on a world map.
Its been Scotland Love Languages week and we have been learning to say hello in different languages.
We have also been bringing in photos to show who we look like in our family and to see if we have the same hair and eye colour as our parents. We are learning about inheritance in Science. We didn’t have time to include these in our assembly so we will use them to make a class display.
We loved the story about ‘How The Animals Got Their Tails’, and have been discussing the news about the bush fires in Australia.
Well done P3R! You should all feel very proud of your performance!

- Today is World Read Aloud Day so P7S as well as taking advantage of this in class linking our reading to our World War 2 context also decided we wanted to share our skills with P1. We had great fun reading aloud to a very appreciative younger audience.
P7S would like to thank Mrs Liddell for visiting us yesterday from West Lothian Library Services. We had the opportunity to handle a range of artefacts from WW2. We looked at a variety of uniforms and some of us (see embarrassing photographs!) even got the chance to try some on. We heard all about food and clothes rations, did you know you were only allowed 2oz of cheese and butter a week! Mrs Liddell has kindly agreed to join us in March for our Sharing the Learning Session so you will also be able to experience WW2 brought to life! We look forward to welcoming you….watch this space!
