P2B Homework Grid 3 – 23.11.2020

Good morning P2B,

I hope you are all well.

Please find attached a copy of Homework Grid 3. I was very impressed with all of the homework from the previous grid so please keep it up. You have all done such a super job!

Choose any two squares from the grid to complete over the next two weeks. You can complete more than that if you wish, however 2 squares are the bare minimum required.

Any questions, please get in touch.

Regards,

Miss Walkingshaw

P2B Phonics and Homework 9.11.2020

Good morning,

I hope you are all well and keeping safe.

Our new sound for this week will be ‘oi’ and ‘oy’/CVC words.

Please find attached the below document containing this weeks new words which link to the grid on Seesaw. Please try your best to encourage your child to sound out and blend each word. This will improve their confidence and independence when reading and writing in Literacy.

Spelling Words oi and oy

Below is the new homework grid which is due to be completed by Friday 20th November 2020. This has also been posted on Seesaw for you.

P2B Frys Words Reminder

Good morning parents and carers,

I hope you all had a relaxing weekend.

Just a reminder that new Frys words will be sent out every Tuesday for your child to complete. These should be completed for the next again Monday, giving you 6 days to complete this with your child. This then allows for further practise to be completed in class with myself.

Please only complete the highlighted column of words with your child. You can practise by reading the words out loud and writing these words down on paper to ensure their understanding. Your child should work towards being able to read the words aloud and write the words independentlya.

Thank you for your continued support,

Miss Walkingshaw

Well done in PE

Thank you for all your hard work completing all the PE tasks during home learning. Although it wasn’t the normal Health Week,  Sports week and East Calder Marathon, I am so proud of how you accepted the challenge of PE home learning.

I hope that you have an active and fun summer. I can’t wait to see you in August and hear all about your summer adventures.

PE Home Learning – 22nd June

Good morning everyone,

For PE this week, we will be taking part in the Youth Sport Trust’s National Sports Week. There are five different categories of activities and challenges. You can pick what categories and what activities you take part in. I recommend doing at least one activity a day as well as getting outside for walks, jogs, cycles or scoots.

I love seeing your learning so don’t forget to let me know how you got on.

We hope it will be sunny on Wednesday 24th June when you can come along and collect some of your work  or anything that you have left behind in school. We will be in the playground from 12 noon until 2pm. Please don’t worry if you can’t make it. There will be an opportunity to collect things after the holidays in August.

You have  all been amazing over the past few months and we have really missed you. Thank you to everyone who has sent us photos of all the fantastic things you have been doing at home. Well done!

We have loved teaching you all and hope you have fun with the activities on the final home learning grid.
