P2 Home Learing Grid

Good morning everyone! We hope you have had a lovely weekend enjoying the lovely weather. It is Health Week so you will notice there is a focus on Health and Wellbeing this week. Mr Millar has also included a Health Week grid on the blog so have a look to see some of the fun learning activities he has planned for you.

New Spelling words are attached for each group. The focus this week is magic e with an u and CVC word practice. Remember to practise reading and writing these words in different ways. There is no Collins Literacy on the grid this week, however, feel free to continue to read these texts for enjoyment in your own time. This activity will be back on the grid next week. Here are the levels for each group in both classes again as a reminder.

I hope you have all had a good week and have been enjoying the lovely weather. Thank you so much for all the home learning you have sent me again this week. I always enjoy having a look at all your hard work and effort. Here are a few examples of some more of your amazing learning.

You have been working hard to practise telling the time. It looks like you have been enjoying the nice weather too which is fantastic. Well done!

You have been looking after butterflies since they were  baby caterpillars and you released them this week. This is a lovely project Farah and I am sure you managed to learn so much. Well done!

Please keep sending your home learning by emailing the school office. I will be able to reply to you and you might see your hard work feature on the blog. Stay safe everyone and have a great weekend!

Article 29: We have the right to develop our talents and abilities.

Your artwork you have been working on in your garden is fantastic Marcie. Well done for all your hard work!

You have been working hard to practise telling the time using o’clock, half past and quarter past. Well done Toby! Look at all this hard work!

You have been watching “Let’s Go Live” with Maddie and Greg. You have learned some interesting facts about dinosaurs. Well done for all your hard work Luca!

You have been working hard reading the Collins Big Cat Literacy books. Jess the cat looks like she enjoyed reading about the Titanic too. Well done for all your hard work!

P2 Home Learning Grid

Good morning everyone! We hope you had a lovely long weekend and had lots of fun at home. Here is our home learning grid for this week. Please see the attached activities including new Spelling words for each group. You have magic e or CVC words.

You will find that the name of each group in P2M and P2W are included; for example, Crocodiles in P2W and Lions in P2M have the same words. When we teach magic e we explain to the children that the “e” at the end of the word makes the vowel in the word say its name.

There are also a few pencil activities attached for your child to work on if they wish. If you have any questions or queries, feel free to email via the school office. Apologies for the slight delay this morning. The blog decided it was going to be very slow when uploading all the documents.

Thank you for your continued support.

Fantastic Home Learning in P2M

You have been so creative making your own puppet theatre, Isla-Mae. It looks amazing and I am sure your baby brother loves your puppet shows. Well done!

This is a great idea for a “vegetable hero” Callan. Supper effort with your capital letters and full stops too. Well done!

You have worked so hard to make your own 10 square Finlay. Now you can practise counting on and back to add and subtract numbers up to 100. Well done for this amazing effort!

You have been growing your own rainbow vegetables that you got as a gift for your birthday. You love Science and it is great to see you are enjoying learning more about the world at home. I can’t wait to see how these look soon. Well done for all your hard work!

Have a lovely weekend everyone. Your fantastic learning might appear on the blog next week. Stay safe and have fun!
