Super workers at home! P3R/ P3/2C

We have been delighted to have had some  super work emailed to us recently.

Miss Cameron and I are so proud that many of you are trying hard to complete tasks on your grid and are continuing your learning at home. Well Done !

We know it has been a while since we all saw each other. We miss school and our friends.

If you would like to get in touch,  ask for help at home to send an email  to the school. It will be forwarded to us and we can email back. You could also let us know  by email if you would like us to call you by arranging a day and time that is suitable.

We will try to reply as soon as we can.

Remember you can take a photo of yourself and email  it with your name and class to –

We would  love to see what you are all doing and look forward to seeing more super learning!

P3/2C and P3R Home learning grids

Just to remind you all that you can find this week’s home learning grid for 30/3/20 here.

Home Learning 2 updated

You should have a paper copy in your folder.

If there are any tasks you are unsure of just try instead to keep up with your multiplication tables and any kind of reading.

Have a look at Sumdog and you should be able to try  the Spelling and Grammar activities now.

We hope you and your families are all healthy and safe .

Keep trying your best and remember to enjoy some exercise and fun time too!

Hello Primary 3!

Hello P3/2C and P3R!

We wanted to let you all know we have been thinking of  you and hope you and your families are all safe and well.

Well done if you have been managing to complete some of your tasks on your first week’s work grid.

You can see next week’s grid if you use the link below.

We know lots of you have been improving your maths skills on Sumdog and we have set a challenge for each class for the next week.

If you like books and reading try –

Home

It’s great to have someone read a story aloud to you ..(we are missing that with you )……and you can read along with the subtitles. Try sharing a story with your family.

Other things that are help just now are making  sure you are managing to get outside for a bit and keep doing some exercise, and offer to help around the house…that will bring a smile to someone’s face!

Please keep checking the blog for information and we will post again next week.

Take care and stay safe.

Miss Cameron and Mrs Robertson

Sport Relief fun in P3R

Thank you to everyone in P3R for your kind donations  for Sport Relief.

Due to the weather we didn’t manage to get outside for our trim trail slot this afternoon but we really enjoyed a session of Cosmic Yoga instead!

It helps us to improve our balance and coordination and  it was really  good fun!

P3R Assembly

Many thanks to all our family and friends for coming along to join us at our assembly today.

We have been finding out all about our place in the world.

As a homework task we found out where we were born and where our parents and grandparents were born. We looked at some of the places on a world map.

Its been Scotland Love Languages week and we have been learning to say hello in different languages.

We have also been bringing in photos to show who we look like in our family and to see if we have the same hair and eye colour as our parents. We are learning about inheritance in Science. We didn’t have time to include these in our assembly so we will use them to make a class display.

We loved the story about ‘How The Animals Got Their Tails’, and  have been discussing the news about the bush fires in Australia.

Well done P3R! You should all feel very proud of your performance!

Food Tasting P3R

In Science we are learning about our 5 senses.

Today we were finding out about the sense of taste.

Mrs Beattie had different foods for us to taste and we had to record whether they were sweet, sour, bitter or salty.

Lots of us liked the salty crisps …but the lemon was not the class favourite!

Christmas in P3R

We have been having a busy time  in P3R.

As part of our homework tasks we could make a model sleigh for a  small toy,

We  had some super models and it was interesting to hear how they were made. Very creative ideas P3R!

We learned how to sew felt Christmas tree decorations for the school Christmas Fayre last week.

..and we had a fun time at our Christmas party on Tuesday.

We have also been practising songs for our Christmas SingAlong on Friday. We hope you can join us at 9.50am

Merry Christmas everyone from P3R!

P3R Sharing the Learning

Thank you so much to all our family and friends that  came along to our sharing the learning this afternoon.

After listening to ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’ by Ronda and David Armitage this term, we have been thinking about the world of work.

We have been listening this week to class talks about the different jobs that we would like to do when we are older.

In Science we have been finding out about saving energy.

We practiced our talking and listening skills by discussing how we could save energy and also about the different skills people need to do jobs.

We have made fantastic models of lighthouses and Mr and Mrs Grinling’s cottage.

We used our reading skills to help us identify different kinds of seagulls.

In Maths we have been working on money.

We had to create a delicious concoction for Mr Grinling’s lunch, write a shopping list and work out the cost of his lunch.

A great afternoon P3R, demonstrating  your skills to others!

Well done!
