We made the most of Thursday being outdoor learning day, not just on Thursday but all week!
On Tuesday we took our reading outside. 
On Wednesday we took our Maths outdoors. Eoin was practising his times tables and Glen and Alex were counting the daisy’s!

Primary one got a big surprise this week when a friendly dragon visited their classrooms and left a letter.
He asked if we could help rebuild Fairyland. We all agreed we could help by reading more fairy tales and we talked about our favourite ones. Some of us went to the library to look for books and we have coloured dragon pictures.
We had lots of good ideas about what would make a good home for a dragon. We think the dragon would feel safe and cosy in our class castle or cave. He would be delighted with his new home!
We hope to hear from him again soon!
This week in P2 it was outdoor classroom day on Thursday so we took our maths lesson outside. We have been looking at time and decided to draw clocks to show the time and some of us even made a human clock.

This week Primary 4A participated in the West Lothian Sumdog contest.
We are very proud to come 10th out of the 233 classes who participated.

This week we went on a trip to the Owl Centre at Polkemmet Country Park. In the morning we met different owls and played a game to help us understand what they eat. Next we got to look round all the cages and try to find answers to different questions. Then we had a flying display where we found out even more information. We also got to play at the Owl Park which had a huge owl slide. In the afternoon we went on a forest walk and played some outdoor games, making us think about our natural surroundings. Finally we got to play at the park where they had a big wooden castle, dragon swing and flying fox. It was great fun!
