P1 Starting School

Primary 1 have had a super start to school this week. They have been settling in well, learning all of our routines, and making new friends. We worked hard in the gym with Mr Miller, and our gym days this term will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Mrs Robertson came to class on Thursday. We listened to a story and pretended to be tigers. We had our first assembly today and watched it on the Smartboard.

Please bring a water bottle to class every day and remember your morning snack. Many thanks.

Looking forward to seeing you on Monday for another busy week.

Welcome to P2/1!

We’ve had a great week in P2/1. The boys and girls have had lots of fun in their new classroom and are settling well into the school routines after summer.

We had a chat about our favourite parts of the week.

‘I liked playing with the puppets.’ Emily G

‘My favourite part was the reading corner. I liked reading The Bug Collector.’ Abby

‘I liked the car park.’ Harris

‘I like the construction area.’ Harrison

We had a great time with Mr Millar during our PE lesson too. Our PE days are Mondays and Wednesdays.

Primary Two

Primary two have had a fantastic first week. We got to know one another and discussed what we would like to learn this year. We recapped on our prior knowledge of the school values and acted out each LEARN value. We played in our shop and used our addition skills to add the items that we bought.  The photographs below show some of our learning. Well done P2!

PE days: Monday & Wednesday

Our first week in P3a

We have had lots of fun exploring our new classroom and learning our new routines.  We have worked together to add within 20, find words in a Boggle board and started our Free Writing Friday – and that is just during our Smart Starts when we wake up our brains!
We have thought about how we can be kind to others and help ‘fill their bucket’.  We are looking forward to learning lots of new things together.

This term our gym days will be on a Monday & Wednesday. On these days pupils can wear gym clothes in our school colours – black, yellow or white.
