This Week P3/2

Literacy

This week in reading, we have been continuing to develop our reciprocal reading skills. During our class novel ‘Charlotte’s Web’, we were stopping at various points in the novel to made predictions. We had to provide evidence to support our predictions. We also creates questions about the chapter to ask to our friends.

This week in writing, we were continuing to develop our narrative writing skills. We had to read our feedback from last week and apply it to this week’s written piece. We then created a plan for our stories ensuring that our writing followed an appropriate structure.

Maths

In maths this week, we continued to learn about fractions. We were learning about thirds, sixths and eighths. We have been drawing shapes and colouring a given fraction. The customer would write the fraction of pizza they would like to buy and the chef would need to cut the pizza into the correct fraction.
