  1. Julia bought 10 oranges from the shop but dropped 7. How many oranges does Julia still have in her hands?
  2. Mike went to a charity shop and bought 5 tops and 12 hats. How many items did he buy altogether?
  3. Harry has 7 books. Fiona has double the number of books that Harry has. How many books does Fiona have?
  4. A group of 10 friends would like to go to the beach. Each car can hold 5 people. How many cars are needed to go to the beach?
  5. There are 24 children in the class. Half of the children are girls. How many girls are there in the class?
