P6/7

It’s been a very busy week in P6/7!

At the start of the week we all chose a book from the Waterstone’s website to add to our new class library. We look forward to them arriving soon.

On Tuesday our P7’s went to a Sports festival at Craigswood. After getting changed the P7’s took part in approximately 12 activities such as hurdles, javelin, long jump and sprinting. They had a great time but everyone was very tired the next day!

In maths we have been working on multiplication by two digits, square roots and division. Next week we will be moving onto angles.

As part of our work on information writing we have been creating information leaflets about Japan. Work on these is still ongoing and we hope to print them off next week for our display.

In health we have been discussing celebrating differences and recognising individuals for their qualities. We also discussed gender stereotyping and how this can affect us in daily life.

P6/7 have created some excellent art work as part of our topic on Japan. For this they had to complete pictures of Japanese creatures, paying particular attention to proportion, symmetry and detail.

Finally, some staff from Deans Community High School came down to work with the P7’s on their science passport as part of their transition activities for high school.
