We had a visit from Mr Leckie, a civil engineer from Aecom, who came to present certificates and prizes to some of our pupils for their innovative entries in the ‘Imagineers’ competition. The pupils had to come up with an invention that could help solve a problem in the world – our winners included ‘ The helping hand’ which is a robot that distributes medicine in remote or war torn areas, the ‘Plastic Picker’ which trawls the bottom of the ocean removing and recycling plastic and the ‘Automatic Claw 31000’ which scans and sorts rubbish to promote recycling. Well done everyone!!

Fond memories of Fun Day…
Some of our p2/3 pupils has such a fab time at our Fun Day yesterday that they decided to write about it!
Fabulous Fun Day!
We had a fantastic ‘fun day’ again this year – the pupils enjoyed baking, crafts, movies, karaoke, inflatable obstacles and even a spot of Zumba in the sunshine! Looking forward to next years already!!
Final PE Session for our P7s
Last week the P7s had their final PE session. The decision was left up to the class as to what they wanted to do and they chose football. The weather was beautiful so we took the equipment out onto the field. We started with 5v5 games and then increased the challenge by inviting the P6/7s to join us. A great time was had by all!

Stay and Play in The Den
Today we had an absolutely fabulous time with our parents and carers in The Den. Our parents and carers joined us for choosing time, snack and mindfulness. Firstly we chose what to play with our carers, we enjoyed showing them the many different activities we take part in when we are in The Den. We then had a breakfast of croissants, butter, jam, strawberries, blueberries and fruit juice – we thought this was delicious! Finally, we all took part in mindfulness, today’s story was ‘The Little Mermaid’. We really enjoyed having our parents and carers in The Den today and we are looking forward to inviting them in again soon.
P2 Sharing the Learning
Many thanks to all Parents/Carers who attended our sharing the learning session today. It was lovely to see adults and children interacting with one another and I am sure everyone left with ideas of how to keep learning fun over the holidays!!
P2/3 PE
This week in PE with Mrs Moyes, P2/3 learned how to play a new playground game. They learned how to play ‘Capture the Flag’. This involved listening to instructions very carefully and working as a team. They really enjoyed this and are keen to play the game with their friends in the playground.
