Calderwood Primary Presents Christmas Around the World

Primary 2-7 children invite one family member along to the performance below in our Arena.  We look forward to seeing you.

If you are attending both performances you can wait in the Arena between times.

(Children should wear Christmas jumper/ accessorise on top and uniform on bottoms).

  • 1st December: 6pm: Calderwood Christmas Tree Light Switch on: Choir members have received an email
  • 2nd December: 9:30am: Bramble Calderwood Connects: Email invite has been sent out
  • 7th December: Christmas Lunch Day: Children can wear a Christmas jumper to school, and normal school uniform on bottoms, orders for Christmas lunch are closed
  • 9th December: 11:15am: Bluebell Calderwood Connects: Email invite has been sent out
Calderwood Compliments: 
    • Thistle Clan Connects: A huge well done to the children and champions in Thistle Clan, for their assembly last week. It showcased their literacy learning in a fun creative, digital and engaging way!
    • Thank you to everyone involved in our Primary 2-3 safari excursions this week. The children really enjoyed the opportunity to experience learning in a real life context. Thank you to all our parent/ carer helpers.

Christmas Fayre – What to expect!

 

The Calderwood Christmas Fayre is nearly upon us, and we wanted to share some info on what you can expect!

 

The fayre is free to attend, but we are accepting donations to help cover the running costs. We appreciate that it’s an expensive time of year however, so please only donate if you feel you can!

 

You can make your donation here or at the fayre in cash or online using the QR codes around the school!

 

Inside you’ll find stalls selling amazing crafts and treats, perfect for ticking some things of the Christmas gift list!   Stalls include;

·         A Scent Above the Rest

·         Caketastic

·         Petlambpods

·         Caroline Creations

·         Miffys Makes

·         Little Lothian Book Shop

·         Dannielle Stanners Christmas decorations and seasonal products

·         Sarah’s Crafty Delights

·         Beautiful Treats Soap

·         Carole McNeish Knitting

·         Potter Around

·         Sils Craft and Creations Jewellery

There will be free activities for the kids including;

 

·         Christmas craft zone

·         Christmas movie and reading area

·         Storytime with Santa

·         Older kids game zone

Finally, there will be a tombola for the kids, a raffle for the adults, hot dogs (incl. veggie ones) and a selection of hot and cold drinks available to purchase.

 

Cash and Card payments will be accepted at all stalls organised by the parent council, however we do advise bringing some cash for other stalls just in case.
