Mackintosh Clan Charter

This week in Mackintosh, we have been learning all about the UNCRC (United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child) and exploring the rights that every child has.

As a class, we discussed which rights are particularly important in our classroom and made sure that everyone had the opportunity to share their views and have their voice heard.

We then explored what these rights should look like, sound like and feel like in our classroom. We talked about our roles as rights holders and the responsibilities of duty bearers in helping to make sure everyone’s rights are respected.

Using all of our ideas, we worked together to create our very own Class Charter! Each pupil contributed to our display, showing that our classroom is a place where everyone should feel safe, included, respected and ready to learn.

We are looking forward to putting our charter into action throughout the year!
