You will have noticed on our last newsletter that we are running a parent/carer curricular evening on Thursday 14th January. This event will be led by our Educational Psychologist, Jenny Gray and will be looking at Growth Mindset. This is a simple idea discovered by world-renowned Stanford University psychologist, Carol Dweck in decades of research on achievement and success – a simple idea that makes all the difference. Teaching a growth mindset creates motivation and productivity in the worlds of business, education and sports.
Bellsquarry staff have recently attended a training session on Growth Mindset with Jenny and we want to share this with our parents/carers to ensure we are supporting our children together.
