On Tuesday morning Judy from the Woodland Trust came in to work with us in Primary 6. She began by announcing the highly commended and winning entries of the Bellsquarry Orchard poetry competition. We were very excited to hear that all of these poets were in our class! Judy also had an activity related to the orchard for us to complete. We had gathered berries, leaves and twigs so that we could design our own apple animals! We used these materials to decorate our apples in some very unique ways. We then got to name our animal, draw it’s house and write down the sort of things that it might eat. We are looking forward to working with Judy again and designing a notice board which will be displayed within the Orchard.
Amazing apple animals!
