Primary One spent some time this week learning about Guy Fawkes and the 5th of November. They enjoyed the powerpoint that told them the story and were able to answer questions afterward. We also had a great discussion about firework/bonfire safety. Ask the children if they can remember any of the rules! On Thursday, we joined with P3/2 to create printed and 3D pictures in each of the classrooms. The pupils enjoyed working together.
We love to have our artist-in-residence, Mrs Jones, with us on a Thursday afternoon!
The ‘icy’ part comes because we started our nativity rehearsals this week. The pupils are very excited about performing for their parents and are already showing great promise. Song words will come home Monday as homework and performances will take place five weeks on Monday/Tuesday. Details will follow.
Lastly, I would like to thank all the parents for attending parent consultation evenings. It was lovely to see you all and have the opportunity to chat about how well the pupils are doing!
Have a lovely November weekend, everyone!
