We started our week with a trip to Sky Academy. At the academy we learned about television programmes and how they are made. We found out about some of the important jobs involved in this. We split into four groups and had our own studios to record a Primary 5 news programme. Our programme was about the Titanic. We really enjoyed getting to put what we had learned into practice and carrying out the different jobs. We also got to visit the customer service centre at Sky to find out more about the work that they do there.
On Tuesday Darren Philip came to Primary 5 to work with us. He told us about labyrinths and explained that they can be used to help to give people time to think and destress. He told us about how they are different to mazes. We designed some of our own labyrinths on paper and out on the playground. In the afternoon we used clay to make finger labyrinths.
