We have been learning lots of new skills and strategies in Numeracy, working with numbers up to 100, counting on and back in 2, 3, 4, 5 and subtracting near multiples. In Reading, we have been using our word knowledge and decoding skills to read unfamiliar texts then showing our understanding through storyboards. We have had two Tennis taster sessions so far which have been helping us to work on our balance, control and aiming techniques. Mrs Green even managed to knock down the last skittle when we had a class competition! We have learned to dance the Gay Gordons and St Bernard’s Waltz in P.E. as well. We have started our Romans and Caledonians topic and are creating our own personal projects to show our learning. We have been using book and the internet to find out lots of fascinating facts so far! We plan to turn our classroom into a Roman temple and can’t wait to find out about the battles! We have been thoroughly enjoying playing with our new games that we bought with our Enterprise money – it was so exciting to open the box and find everything we had ordered the week before. We’re getting lots of use out of our new resources!
