Primary 3 enjoyed a fantastic visit to Callendar House on Tuesday. We took part in a Romans workshop, learning how the Antonine Wall was built. We even got to hold a real piece of Roman pottery!
We learned about different types of Roman armour and got to dress up as Roman soldiers.Outside we marched up and down, made a “tortoise” shape with our shields and then tried to capture our teachers to make them our slaves!
The children commented afterwards that this had been an awesome school trip!
