Solar Eclipse

The upper school classes made pinhole viewers to see the solar eclipse today. We went outside and worked in pairs or trios to use them to see the eclispe. We were very excited when we saw it! In Assembly we had the lights off for a video and the hall was very dark. After the eclipse had occured the atmosphere felt cooler and unusual. The birds were chirping as if it were morning again. It had been quite warm when we went outside around 9am (before the eclipse reached its maximum point) but the second time we went out, around 9.45 it had become very cold. Most people only experience a solar eclipse like this once in their lifetime so we felt very lucky to be able to have experienced this.
