Primary 5 have been finding out about the building of the Titanic and the history behind the idea. We have made Titanic paintings that depict different parts of the voyage with Mrs Martin and have begun work on our large version of the ship. We used teamwork, observations, measuring skills and sketching to create a ship with similar dimensions to the real one. We have begun painting the ship and now need to add the details and funnels before it can launch. As our story of the Titanic develops we will change our ship to show what happened to it during the sinking. There have been lots of stories and films made about the Titanic so we decided to make a true or false display when we find out if they are historically accurate or have been edited, exaggerated or created for artistic purposes.
