Primary 5 have had a fantastic first two weeks. We have been enjoying getting to know each other further and have welcomed three new pupils into our class. Everyone has contributed to developing the rules, ethos and rewards that we will have over the course of the year. We had a competition to design our new class charter and voted for our favourite. The winning idea was an magic toadstool/minecraft land which we then made! We have been writing personal and imaginative stories and used the laptops to create stories about friendship. These helped us find out what makes a good friend. We created Good Friend advice leaflets that we now have displayed for us to use. We gathered and displayed information about ourselves and are looking forward to creating additional graphs in ICT next week. We have investigated words using a thesaurus and had a try at speed tables. We have begun portrait drawing in Art with Mrs Martin and pupils who wanted to be part of the choir had their first session with Mrs England. Mrs Green enjoyed seeing our redesigned book covers and blurbs that we created for homework – there was a very high standard of work displayed!
Welcome to P5!
