We can’t believe that we’re closer to Primary 7 now than Primary 6. Time flies when you’re having such fun! In our first week back, we’ve been doing lots of different things. Here’s a few which we would like to share with you.
In maths we have been doing symmetry. One of the groups has been investigating symmetry and symmetrical drawings. We have also been comparing regular and irregular shapes to each other. We have also been using mirrors to check if shapes are symmetrical. We were also using dotted paper to copy and complete patterns of shapes.
In literacy we have been doing comprehension. We had two learning intentions this week. One was to have neat, legible and joined up handwriting and the other one was to answer the questions using a full sentence.
In health we have been making up our own healthy diets and we created an acrostic poem about balanced diets using the foods from the healthy food plate. Some of us read out our poems as well. We then looked at foods we are eating just now and discussed if they were healthy or unhealthy and what makes a ‘balanced diet’.
In art we have been creating our TARDIS’S. The good news is that we have nearly finished them. We are on our second last step, so next week we will just have to put it together and it should be finished………..watch this space.
