Primary 2/1 have been learning about hedgehogs. Hedgehogs are nocturnal (that means they sleep during the day and wake up at night time!). They hibernate in winter then wake up in springtime. They have about 5000 prickly spines. If they feel threatened they curl up into a ball to protect themselves. Watch out, if you get too close they might prick you!
