Fruit Smoothie Challenge

After three weeks of working on our Smoothie Challenge, in business teams of four or five, we finally found out the winners. They were Ryan Shaw, Ellie McDougall, Adam Clair and Emma Russell from business team ‘The Funky Fruit Gang’. Their winning smoothie was callled the ‘Sweet Tooth’. All groups worked very hard and it was a close competition. A big well done to all children in P3/4.

Waving our Olympic Flags

At last the sun shone and allowed us to get outdoors and celebrate the opening of our health week.  As usual, the children did us proud and responded to the House Captain’s challenge of dressing as an Olympic athlete and making a flag to represent the country the athlete is from.  Mr Marsters officially opened the ceremony and the upper school received photos of Steve Cram, Steve Ovett and Seb Coe.

Wall Art

The Art After School Club have finally completed their challenge to brighten up the Nursery outdoor area.  The designed and painted a range of flowers and here they are showing off their colourful wall.  This was the last after art club for this session and both  Mrs Snaddon and Mrs Aitken would like to say a very big thank you to all the children for their commitment and contribution to make the club a huge success.

Travel Safely Group

Today was the final meeting of the Travel Safely Group.  We reflected on our achievements over the course of this year.  We identified a set of aims, made an action plan and gave out questionnaires for people to complete on how they travel to school.  The results have been displayed on our T.S.G. Board in school and we have started to make leaflets to remind people on how to stay safe.

We also identified our next steps.  We would like to make improvements to our wall display and also to make more information leaflets.
