A massive thank you to our wonderful parents who came along to our final football club. Your support was very welcome and we all had a great time. There were some very close scores and tough competition.
Thank you for our spectators and a big thank you to Robert Marshall, Brain Laing, Colin Rogerson, Kirsty Cunningham and Kevin Buntin for playing football with the pupils.

The football club and Mrs Monahan
We have been playing in the open area and discovering all the new activities that have been developing our senses, literacy skills, climbing skills and lots more. Abby enjoyed using the letters in the water to spell her nouns, verbs and adjectives. Matthew and Reece were making a spider mountain in the sand.
Blake and Joshua had lots of fun in the water tray playing with the foam. Blake said that if we could feel clouds this is what it would feel like. The foam made Bryoni think about the snow and how she could make a snowman.
We are going to get a dark tent and lights put into our area after the Christmas holidays we can’t wait.
If you can smell a wonderful aroma in the upper school this afternoon it will be coming from Primary 6/5. We have been busy preparing some non-alcoholic mulled wine for the Christmas fair. We will be giving out cups of mulled wine outside from 12.45pm on Friday while the choir are singing so come early to give it a try. Well done to Mrs Bradley and the pupils for achieving their green flag renewal. 
We are in the middle of building our artistic and modern Christmas trees. Our designs are based on the famous artists- Kadinsky, Robert Delaunay and Charles McIntosh. This is a following the instructions task. The trees will be displayed in the hall for the Christmas Fair. 
Primary 5/4 and Primary 6/5 are enjoying learning to play Last Christmas on the ukulele. Our singing is amazing and we look forward to performing for you at the Christmas service.
It has been a very busy week in Primary 6/5. In maths we have been practising our 7 x table and learning about data handling, reading information from frequency tables and bar charts.
In literacy circles this week the Blue and Red group have been practising their summarising skills. The Green group completed their word wizard task.
We started our Christmas display for the hall, painting our reindeer Blitzen! We also started making our Christmas enterprise. We were sewing Christmas tree decorations. Last week we started our Scottish Country dancing practice for our Christmas Party! So far we have learned the Gay Gordons! Some boys and girls really enjoy Scottish dancing but others don’t like it as much. Let us know if you enjoyed it at school!
Primary 3 have been getting ready for our Christmas Fayre. They have been really busy making lots of cards. We are also looking forward to our assembly on Thursday 18th December, so we have also been learning songs and words for this.

Well done to all the boys and girls who competed in the recent Whitburn Cluster Netball Festival. We got off to an excellent start winning 3 out of 4 of our games. The boys and girls were a credit to the school demonstrating an excellent standard of behaviour and sportsmanship. We are looking forward to our next festival in February!
