Christmas Fair

GREENRIGG PRIMARY SCHOOL PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION

Christmas Fair

Friday 12th December

1pm ~ 3pm

Our annual Christmas Fair will be held on Friday 12th December 1pm til 3pm. We will have all the usual stalls, such as tombola, raffles, bottle stall, lucky dip, Santa’s Grotto, face painting, tattoos, teas, cake n candy, books, toys and bricabrac. If you have anything you would like to donate to any of the stalls including home baking, please hand in to the school office. We need your support as the Fair is our main fundraiser, so anything you have would be appreciated, no matter how small.

As usual we will have children’s raffles on sale the week leading up to the fair at 20p a go, and if you are unable to make the Fair then you can still buy the main raffle tickets for £1 by sending money in to the school office. The main prize is a hamper. Entrance is £1 adults and 50p Kids and includes tea/coffee/juice and biscuits.

Nativity

Primary 1 and 2 began our practice for the Christmas Nativity – ‘Ralph the Reindeer’.

We have been trying hard to be a good audience as well as good performers. We have been reading our lines and using our big loud voices and beautiful singing voices.

If you ask us when we are at home we might let you hear some of our great songs. We love having people listening to us.

Earth Hour 2013

Our Eco team lead Greenrigg Primary School pupils and staff through Earth Hour on Friday.

The whole school spent an hour on Friday Morning, between 8:45am and 9:45am in darkness to raise awareness about the need to take action on climate change.

Primary 7 took a greater challenge in switching off all the electricity in their classroom!

The official Earth Hour 2013 is being held on March 23, 2013 from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Thursday chick update

Nearly all of the chicks are hatched ,there are only 4 more eggs to hatch. Today we helped to clean the brooder and we held the chicks and they where chirping. They were very happy to see us and were comfortable enough to fall asleeep as we held them, a part from Allison’s who was a bit jumpy. We think they are very cute and fluffy.
