Food Tasting and P6/5 Buddies

This week the nursery have had a chance to taste the different fruits found in The Hungry Caterpillar story and have had stories read to them by their P6/5 buddies as well as a play session. We have had a visit from the dental hygienist who was very impressed with our children and how they brush their teeth.  Remember tomorrow is World Book Day and children are allowed to bring in their favourite story and wear their pyjamas. We will also watch The Hungry Caterpillar film.

Pancake Day in the Nursery

Children had great fun making pancakes today. Children followed a recipe, measured ingredients, learned about keeping clean  and then got to try their pancakes. We watched the Runaway Pancake story and discussed the similarities and differences between our story and the Gingerbread man.

New Year in the Nursery

There have been lots of exciting things going on in the nursery since we came back this term. We have had our first Stay and Play, our library is up and running again with the help of Jack and Jamie’s mums. We have been able to buy a new listening center for the nursery so children can access stories, songs and rhymes throughout the nursery session. We have used the money raised at Christmas Fayre to buy new resources for the nursery which we hope will be arriving soon and we have had new blocks delivered for the children to play and learn with. This week Rong Rong is in to talk to the children about Chinese New Year and let them take part in some Chinese New Year activities.
