We decided to make a giant domino run at golden time today.
We had to think about how far apart each block was from each other. It took lots of practise to get it right.
We’re very proud that it worked

We had our Christmas Party today and it was great fun. We had a special visitor who gave us some presents. We played party games and had some party food.
Well done to Kimberley, Kayla and Aaron for achieving 100% attendance in Primary 2 from August to December. Here they are with their certificates and prizes.
P4/5, p5/6 and P7/6 had their Christmas party on Monday afternoon. We had a disco and strutted our dance moves for all to see. We did the Macarena and the cha cha slide.
We played different party games too. We played musical arms. It’s similar to musical chairs but you link arms when the music stops. It’s great fun.
After all of our dancing we stopped for a snack. We had juice and crisps and a chance to chat.
To end our party we danced the gay Gordon’s and the dashing white sergeant.
We all had a great time at our Christmas party.
Logan received a medal at football! Well done Logan!Â
Today the boys and girl in nursery came all dressed up. They looked amazing in their party outfits. They had great fun showing off their moves with some cool dancing. There were prizes to be won in some party games including pass the parcel and musical chairs. They were able to refuel with some party food including some ice-cream (shhh!). They even had a very special visitor who could hear them singing Jingle Bells and came to see them.
Today there was lots of excitement in the school because Miss Tuke brought her dog Amos in to visit the classes. P1 had been learning about pets so he was coming in to see them and Miss Tuke would talk about how to look after a dog. The P1 boys and girls enjoyed learning about Amos, getting to stroke him and ask questions. Miss Tuke then took him to other classes for a talk about being responsible dog owners and how to be with dogs they meet outside. Again the boys and girls were so enthusiastic to learn about Amos and share what they knew. They all enjoyed stroking him and giving him cuddles. Amos is a very calm dog and this helped even the boys and girls who are usually a little bit scared of dogs to feel safe and enjoy the visit too. He had a great calming effect for some children who can find it hard to concentrate. Amos and Miss Tuke hope the boys and girls can take what they learnt and share it with doggy owners at home.
Today parents were invited to stay for a special Christmas play and singalong. There were different activities for parents, grandparents and other family members to join in with. It was great to see all the laughter and enjoyment of adults and children alike. There was even a take home art activity so the adults have gone home with the Santa faces they made. The nursery children then performed their Christmas songs and they did an amazing job! Thank you to everyone who was able to come along and join in with the festivities.
Last Wednesday, P1 took part in a music workshop. We learned about how music can influence how we feel and how it is used in TV and movies, we learned about sound waves, and we told a story using music to help the audience understand what was happening. P2 and 3 were our audience. We had a great day!
