Class O

 

A short week at school this week. We continue to look at fraction and have focused on thirds. We had great fun playing a fraction game. We also enjoyed finding facts about our favourite comic character and creating a power point.

 

 

Caitlin – This week I have been learning about fractions and me, Cameron, Cody and Mrs Mallin played a fraction game. I also had my P7 photographs taken.

 

Cody – This week I , Caitlin and Cameron played fraction formula and no-one won. Monday and Thursday have been pretty good!

Cameron – I have loved PE. I have been doing stuff on the dictionary. I managed to find a hard word with no help from the adults. Stay toned for more!!

 

 

 

Class O

Class O have been looking at information on Scottish authors and recognizing if facts were true or false. Our dictionary skills  are improving and we are more confident in using a dictionary. In maths we have focused on quarters using concrete material to help. We are all looking forward to hearing about all the fun that Catlin had in Oban this week.

 

 

Cody – I  looked at information about a Scottish author. I then had to look at a passage and tell if the statement was true or false about the author. Started to put words in alphabetical order. Also looked at quarters in maths and used cubes to help me. I also completed a spring acrostic poem with Mrs Gray.

 

Cameron – I have managed to complete my work tray jobs by myself without help from the adults. I found a word in the dictionary with no help. In maths I was doing quarters. I looked at what happens in Spring and completed a poem with Mrs Gray.

 

Liam – I had fun looking at what happens in Spring with Mrs Gray. I enjoyed sensory fun with Mrs Wilson there was lots of lights a fan and we read books.

 

Class O

Class O have been researching authors and creating a powerpoint about these facts. We found out some interesting facts – Roald Dahl was a pilot in the RAF!! We are increasing our dictionary skills and have started to look at fractions in maths.

 

Cody – I made a comic strip about what I did in the Easter Holidays it was about would happen if two good pvz gw2 legends fought together. I also played with my online friends we went  free games and went on one that we had no idea what it was so we thought why not try it and we did and we liked it, Yup, that was a successful  17 days spent! Those there the times.  I started looking at fractions in math.

 

Cameron – I enjoyed P.E. with my integration class we were doing random stuff on the bench and we weren’t allowed to  fall off . I liked making a table out of paper I didn’t have glue or sellotape and the table had to be strong enough to hold a car, mines did!

Liam – I enjoyed PE, I picked the song ‘ Going to the moon’ from sticky kids and done all the actions it was good fun. I also liked to build a table with all different types of paper.

 

Caitlin – I am looking forward to my trip to Oban with my P7 class it will be great fun.

Jayden – I liked making a book about what I had done during the Easter holidays. I also liked to get information about Roald Dahl and make a power point about this.

 

Class O

 

Class O have been busy writing an imaginative story. We have planned our story and used this to write our story with a beginning , a middle and an end. The story includes lots of adjectives to make the  story interesting and exciting.  We have also been looking at all different punctuation and including in our story.  In maths we continue to look at different strategies to help  us with adding and subtraction.

 

Cody – I learnt new math strategies this really helped me with my maths. I  have started to choose a school lunch and trying new food this is good as I can sit with Aiden in the dinner hall.

Cameron – I did a Mothers Day thing … the chocolate basket  collapsed and  I forgot to give it to mum. I enjoyed PE with P5 and Class O. I also played a maths game with Jayden we gave each other sums to do.

Jayden –  I played a maths game with Cameron it was good fun we gave each other sums to do. I also liked to make paper with Mrs Gray . I made a chocolate basket for Mothers Day and a word made from scrabble my mum saw them on Friday and liked them.

Liam – I liked to make a sentences with Mrs Mallin using the different pictures. I made my mum a word puzzle with scrabble words and a chocolate basket it was fun.

Caitlin – I am really liking going to Armadale Primary to meet my friends. This week we decorated cakes and we got to take them home. I am now setting my own reading homework as I know what I need to do for integration and also completing with literacy booklet with little help from the Class O adults,

 

 

Class O

Cody – I played monopoly w3th Jamie and I was getting my luck threw in by Jamie as he had a hotel on mayfair and park lane! I also learnt about the secret annex in windyknowe, tbh I actually enjoyed a subject for once! Mostly because we played a 3d exploring game on it and me and ben did it in the hall and when it was time to go home a kid asked us ‘Dude, Are you playing hello neighbour?’ LOL!

 

Jayden – I have went to spelling to p5b all by my self like independent. I have made milk bottle elephant it was so evil and bad LOL! I have also done some red eyes to make it evil you have to make a trunk and mouth then legs and also eyes and ears to decorate.

Class O

Class O have had a busy week. On Monday we had a party to celebrate Cameron’s birthday it was a lot of fun. . In spelling we have been looked at words with ai and went outside to write them down. We have also been practicing using a dictionary to help with our spelling words. In writing we have been using adjectives to describe the setting of our story.

 

Cameron – I enjoyed playing family fortunes with Jayden  and I was the host. I enjoyed doing spelling outside. I made a board game it was called coinopoly 😀

Cody – I tried to recreate pvz heroes and I am doing all the cards I could remember such as trickster, shieldcrusher Viking and winter melon. I cant wait till I finish it and hope popcap make this an actual game as it is already on all mobile devices but I mean as an real thing on board game form. I also made a powerpoint on pea shooter’s history form pvz 1 all the way to pvz heroes! 😀 I have also been learning how to use a dictionary and writing the words outside with chalk.

Jayden – I enjoyed class O because we done some chocolate and sweeties in sensory room I was making so much chocolate stuff and I was so kind I put a digestive and milk chocolate sauce and I  gave it to the teachers. I made chocolate burgers and it was delicious and I love cooking and making chocolate things :D. I played family fortunes with Cameron during activity time it was great.

Liam – I have liked to make books using sticky labels and sellotape . I have been using a mat with numbers from 1 to 100 to do some sums.

Class O

It was world book day on Thursday, the class had fun making a character from different characters from a book they have read. We have been learning about recycling and looking at materials and putting them in the correct recycling bin.

 

Cody – Today is now Wii day because of my Windyknowe visits. The teachers moved wii day to Thursday. I was learning about recycling and reusing and what to recycle like metal plastic and food.

 

Cameron – I enjoyed PE because I did handball and football and I enjoyed playing outside with the parashute and doing a joint silver circle  in CLASS O :D.

Jayden – I liked making a Lego airplane and I was playing with Dylan Kean,  Adam Bain and Joe Shankland. We also had Lego people to play with. Class M were in Class O and we were all having fun making a house out of Lego.

 

Caitlin – I have really enjoyed meeting new friends at Armadale Primary. I also enjoyed my visit to Armadale Academy.

Class O

In class we have been looking at tion/sion words and also silent l words. We designed our own video game character using all different materials it was alot of fun and we used lots of adjectives to describe our character.

Cody – I was making a monster from scrap and played monoplay with Cameron and Mrs Mallin. There was also alot of snow about a foot. In maths I had cards and they had number 1 to 100, I made sums with the numbers.

Jayden – I was making a suitcase robot and it can fly. I made it using Cardboard boxes and they were doors and the doors open and close. I was playing dominoes with Mrs Gray. Mrs Gray comes to our class on a Thursday.

Liam – I liked making a robot from junk I called him Mango. I liked to do maths with peppa pig, mario and clifford the dog.

Cameron – I enjoyed making a video game character it was good fun. I also liked to play family fortunes and be the host. In maths I have been doing subtracting chimney sums with exchanging 10s and 100s.

Class O

This week we  finished our class magazine. It is called ‘Crazy Kidz’ . Our magazine has word searches, spot the difference, a comic strip, colouring pages, jokes and mazes. It was great fun. In maths we have been subtracting two numbers vertically with exchanging 10s or 100s.

Cameron – I enjoyed PE with my integration class. We played cat and mouse and extreme tunnel tig.  I like the new choose trays there is shaving foam sand and yellow foam I can sculpture a castle using this.

Liam – I liked making a stained glass window with Mrs Spence, I made a cat with a moon and stars. I like to read the big books with Mrs Mallin. I read chips, chicken and peas, it was about a fast fox and a slow dog.

Cody – This week is probably the best week of all because I got to spend more time with my friends. We were making Charles Rennie Macintosh stained glass windows, mines was a knight and giant flying skeleton. This gave me an idea to create these on video games. I also enjoyed playing the wii with Cameron we played mario kart and it was a draw and i played WAH WAH HEEEEEEEEEE (or waluigi).

Cailtin – I received Pupil of the Week for being a helpful buddy to the primary ones. In maths I was learning to  subtract two numbers with exchanging 10s it was quite tricky but I did do it.

 

 

Class O

We finished  off our Scottish topic this week with  highland games, Scottish dancing and Scottish food tasting it was great fun. We enjoyed developing our social skills with board games with Classes M and G. We have started to produce a Class O magazine as part of our writing and are looking forward to finishing it off next week.

Caitlin – I liked my visit to Armadale Primary School because I got to visit the head teacher her name is Mrs Phillips. At integration I could wear my onsie as we were having a movie and could take our own sweets. I also liked to play in the rainbow room with my friends for golden time.

Cameron – I have enjoyed the highland games. I learnt Scottish dancing and I tried irn bru for the first time I kind of liked it. I also liked the disco with my friends.

Jayden – I liked the Scottish dancing. I tried Scottish food like oatcakes and Scottish cheese they were delicious. I also tried irn bru it was good. I also liked to played the monkey game.

Cody – This week has been the best especially today as this is the last day of school. I also enjoyed the board games this afternoon. I played monopoly with all my friends it was good to play with Aiden.

Class O

This week in Class O we have been learning about comics. We worked as a team to identify the key features in a comic and then designed our own using what we learnt. We have also been developing our social skills to use at a party becasue it was Cody and Liam’s birthdays.
As part of our Scotland learning focus we have been researching Highland Games. We found very interesting facts about they types of events, how to play them and the history of them.

Jayden: I have been learning about Scottish games this week. I researched the Hammer Throw and found out that you have to twirl round with your feet on the ground and then launch it. I have been learning about addition in Maths and practisng adding numbers up to 1000. I wrote a comic about a cake giant.

Caitlin: I enjoyed being in Class o to celebrate Cody and Liam’s birthdays. We had a small class party and we played Haunted Statues, Musical Statues and Musical Chairs. I enjoyed integration with P7 becasue I was learning about China and Chinese New Year. In Maths I have been learning to add with carrying. I am becoming very good at it. I have been developing my self-assessment skills by checking my answers with a calcuator.

Cody: I really enjoyed designing a comic about a foot soldier who cannot do anything right. I was finding adding with carrying quite tricky but now I think I have mastered the techniques. I enjoyed celebrating my 11th birthday with my friends in Class O at a party. We played a few games of my choice and used ‘I’m a Gnome’ music.

Cameron: I enjoyed making my own comic strip. It was called Food inspector and was about a guy with a shop that when the Food Inspector came in they had a row. Cody and Liam’s parties were fun. We tried some new games. I was keen to show off my dance moves. I have been revising subtracting this week in Maths and I am doing very well with it.

Class O

Class O have been learning about adjectives. The children have been identifying adjective words in their sentences. Spelling we have been looking at silent w  words and words with ence and ance.  In maths we have been doing tricky chimney sums and carrying over the children have really enjoyed.

Cody –  I have been designing a leaflet about a local attraction, I decided to choose Balbardie Park. I wrote and drew a picture to get more people to go to the park to play golf or sk8. In sensory room there was a Scottish world with Scottish food and music, I ate some shortbread I liked it.

Jayden – I have had a Scottish burns supper. I tasted Scottish tablet, shortbread and haggis, turnip and tatties. There was Scottish music and information about Robert Burns. I found some information about the Hive in Bathgate to make a leaflet it was very colourful and bright.

Cameron – I enjoyed maths this week, I was very good at it. I managed to carry over ones, tens and hundreds. I done great at spelling and writing I received a WOW certificate from the teachers. We had a burns day supper and I tried haggis, turnip and tatties, tablet, shortbread and tunnocks tea cake.

Liam – I liked the Scottish music and dancing at our burns supper. I had fun making a leaflet about Almond Valley it was bright and had prices and times on it

Caitlin – I have enjoyed taking part in the pantomime this week. I had fun at the burns supper with my P7 class and tried some Scottish food. I have been learning tricky maths and using a calculator to check my answers are correct.

 

Class O

Class O have been busy looking at Scottish landmarks. We researched different landmarks and created a poster. In spelling we have been looking at silent g words and soft g and c words.

Liam – I like playing with the dominoes, I look at the numbers and add them all up. I had fun making a poster on a Scottish landmark I picked the Kelpies. There is a tour and a park at the Kelpies.

Cailtin – Enjoyed having our visitor Mrs Henderson this week. I received an award for trying hard at my panto. I am really enjoying this. Very excited when Cameron and Jayden came down from integration and showed me their street dance moves.

Cameron – Really had fun going to street dance with my P5 class. At break time I showed the other children what we had done and we all started to dance and show our moves. I have been learning silent g spelling words and have worked very hard.

Jayden – I enjoyed the street dance and I have also enjoyed playing the I pad mini. I Love integration because I have fun time and spelling. I liked playing countdown and trying to make the number.

 

Cody I enjoyed learning street dance with my friends in the playground. I had good fun at Windyknowe I hope I can go back there again.

Class O

Class O have enjoyed having a party this week to celebrate Caitlin’s birthday. We all enjoyed playing the different party games and the party food. We have been learning about homophones and nouns and practicing our Scots poem. We have had lots of practice with chimney sums and learning tens, hundreds and ones.

Liam – I like to go in the caterpillar it is awesome. I liked playing Caitlin’s birthday party games. I played musical chairs I sat down when the music stops. I also played pass the parcel, I won this game and musical corners it was fun.

Jayden – I loved to play outside in the snow. As I liked to build tiny snowmen. I was also doing the silent k words for spelling. I played a computer game to help.

Cody – We played a good old game of monopoly  to help with money subtraction and addition. There was  snow in the morning that Mrs Mallin brought in to play with and this was real fun to do.

Caitlin – I have enjoyed my birthday party and I have being practising my jack and the beanstalk for my pantomime with p7 and I am wearing a pink tutu for my show.

Cameron – I have enjoyed Scottish dancing. I had fun at Caitlin’s birthday party and I won the musical bump game.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Class O week of fun

It was fun week at swimming this week as it was our last week of swimming lessons. We had fun being scientists and liked to see the results of our experiments. We enjoyed celebrating Jamie’s birthday and looking forward to his party on Friday.

Caitlin – I really enjoyed swimming because we soaked the swimming teachers . I was a bit sad because it was our last week at swimming. This week I was doing budgets in maths with Mrs O’Neill I found it a bit tricky calculating the money.

Jayden – I enjoyed swimming cause the water was so refreshing and I loved soaking the swimming teachers. I really enjoyed science cause it was fun doing the salt dough experiments.

Cameron – I enjoyed soaking my swimming teachers and I enjoyed the science experiment.

 

Cody –  Swimming was amazing I went into the deep end of the pool and managed to touch the bottom of the pool with my feet. I also enjoyed jumping in the pool and super soaking my teachers. I  had a Christmas craft activity in my integration class and finished one of the shortest types of book called ‘ Horrid Henry’s Revenge’.

 

Class O

This week we have been looking at magnets and there force. We have enjoyed looking around our class to see what is magnetic. We had fun creating a maze and getting our car like paperclips around the maze using a magnet. We also raced our cars with each other.

Jayden – I have been making a buzzer circuit. I read the instructions to make the circuit board it made a buzzer sound. I have enjoyed playing with Erin in the Rainbow room. We were building a top house. I have enjoyed playing with the gloop with Liam.

Liam – I have been reading ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’,  it was good . The caterpillar turned into a butterfly at the end. I liked to play with the gloop, it was hard then went very runny. I put one of my minions into the gloop to play. I enjoyed to play on the laptop I played sploder.

Cameron – In P5 I did castles at P.E  I also done bar graphs at maths. I am very happy that it is dress down day tomorrow I might wear my star wars onesie.

 

Enterprise in Class O

Class O have had a busy week making gifts to sell at the Christmas Fayre. We have also been learning about money, how to budget and using money the correct money to buy items from our shop.

Jayden – I made a reindeer from salt dough I enjoyed it. I also made a Santa’s sleigh. I put chocolate coins and chocolate bobbles in it you can buy these at the Christmas fayre on Saturday for £1.

Cameron – I made a Santa sleigh that you have to buy at the christmas fayre and it cost £1. In my integration class I have made a PowerPoint called ‘Cameron’s Crazy Stuff”  it has random photos and words in it.

 

Cody – I made a Santa sleighs with edible cash money. I painted art in p6 of caribean island and a lizard.

Caitlin – we have being making things for the Christmas fayre this Saturday and I have being doing excersing at pe with p7 today

Clas O Children in Day

Well Children in Need 2016 is finally here! Class O have been extremely busy this week with final preparations for today. There have been a variety of things going on behind the scences like collating fundraising totals and making powerpoints, as well as rehearsals of our lines and song words for our assembly today.
Children in Need is a charity that does lots of things to support many families in not only Scotland but in West Lothian too. We hope we can do good and make a difference.

Here are our highlights:

Liam: I loved dressing up as Pudsey.

Calitin: I liked helping with the computer and music.

Cameron: I was a super helper when selling raffle tickets.

Cody: Dressing up as a ‘Cool Dude’ was amazing!

Jamie: I created the powerpoint and calcuated the goods sales.

Jayden: I was good at counting the money. I can do this by myself now.

Children in Need in Class O

Class O have been very busy collecting, sorting and delivering Children in Need orders. We are enjoying helping otheres.
We are deveopling our money skills. We have enjoyed making posters, leaflets and flyers to advertise goods and dress down day.
