Over the last two weeks here at Braehead Primary we have been very fortunate to have a very special visitor. Steven is from Beijing in China and he has been working with Primary 4, helping them to build on their Mandarin. In exchange the Primary 4s have been helping Steven to increase his English ability. It has been a fantastic experience for all involved!

Braehead Primary Science- Can you help?
To help support our science programme we are collecting plastic bottles of various sizes, e.g. cola bottles distilled and spring water bottles. But please note that these must be made from clear plastic, milk bottles won’t work. If you could please rinse out your bottles then send them into school they would enable us to complete many exciting science activities.
We are also looking to collect old DVD’s, scratched ones would be fine.
Many thanks

Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers
Active Kids is back from the 27th January – 3rd May 2016 and we would like to collect as many as possible.
Over the years these vouchers have allowed us to purchases a wide variety of gym equipment e.g. benches, basketball stands, mats etc as well equipment for the playground. Our large Connect 4 game has proved very popular in the Early Years playground.
Please note the vouchers have changed in appearance from last year. You will still receive a voucher for every £10 you spend but the vouchers are now on one piece of paper and are white in colour.
Please send in your vouchers with your child and they will be placed in our collection box.
Many Thanks for your continued support.
Mrs McNab (Class Teacher)
