Lennon Back for 10 in a Row?

Conspiracies as Neil Lennon rejoins Celtic FC on the hunt for ten in a row.
Conspiracies

When Neil Lennon went to Celtic FC to replace Brendan Rodgers, it was told that he would only be there until the Summer, but now people are wondering if he will stay for ten in a row, as he was the manager that started it in the first place. Neil Lennon has many targets as Celtic FC manager as he is willing to win the treble and he may stay for the next two seasons to win ten in a row.

Confidence

Although most people might think that this could be a challenge for Neil Lennon, he seems to be pretty confident by saying this:

“I am returning to one of the biggest and best clubs in world football and I can’t wait to get started.”

Neil Lennon has made an impact on the club by winning his first two games as a returning manager at the capital where his former team Hibernian were located, one against Hearts which he won 2-1 and another against Hibernian which he won 2-0. Celtic players are also confident in Neil Lennon’s return, including Scott Brown who said this:

“It’s been a difficult past couple of days. We lost a fantastic manager and we now push on with another fantastic manager”

Challenges

Neil Lennon will face some challenges while manager at Celtic such as his first old firm game which is coming up on the 31st of March, winning the treble, possibly going far in European football next season and trying to achieve ten in a row. Another challenge will be living up to the success he brought to the club last time he was there when he got Celtic to the round of 16 in the Champions League then lost 5-0 on aggregate. Obviously he will want to achieve that again no matter how difficult the challenge, although he might focus on winning the league to get the time one step closer to 10 in a row.

Who Will Be The Next Permanent Celtic Manager?

Neil Lennon is the current Celtic manager until the end of the season. There are candidates to take over the job but Neil Lennon is still the favourite.

Ambitions: Neil Lennon wants Celtic to make Euro impact

Lennon is the manager to try to take Celtic to their 8th league title in a row after Brendan Rodgers sudden departure. He has been put in place until the end of the season which some Celtic fans have mixed emotions about. He started the run of titles, he won the first 3. He has taken charge for 3 games now including the dramatic win at Tynecastle against Hearts. The second game was against Hibernian and Celtic eased past them with a 2-0 win. His most recent game against Aberdeen was his biggest game since his return, it was his homecoming to Celtic Park and after Rangers dropped points on the Friday night but Celtic failed to pick up all 3 points in a 0-0 draw, it was the first time Celtic dropped points at home this season. After this match, lots of Celtic fans weren’t happy and some have turned their back against Lennon. He is the bookies favourite for the job at 11/10.

Roberto Martinez

Roberto Martinez is the second favourite for the role and lots of Celtic fans are happy about hearing this. Martinez has been with the Belgium national team for just over two years and has been very successful by taking Belgium to the semi-finals of the world cup, the furthest they have ever made. Martinez is now at 2/1 to be the next Celtic manager. Most Celtic fans are bound to be happy with this if he was appointed as the new manager as these next couple of years for Celtic are the biggest years in the clubs history, as Celtic will be trying to make history by getting ten league titles in a row and Celtic could definitely do this with Martinez at the wheel.

Henrik Larsson

The ex Celtic legend Henrik Larsson is the third favourite for the job at 10/1. Larsson was playing for Celtic for seven years and gave the fans very many memorable moments. He has now started to continue with football by being a manager. He has been at two clubs since he became a manager starting off at Swedish side Falkenbergs FF he was only there for a year before he stepped down as it wasn’t as successful as planned. He then moved on to Helsingborgs IF and was only there for 2 years and now he isn’t at any club. Lots of people are asking questions if he will be the right man for the job because of his poor stats at his recent clubs.

Who Will It Be?

At it is going it looks as if the next manager will be either Lennon or Martinez. If Lennon wins the treble this year and makes history by winning treble treble he will most likely be in the driving seat for the role. Martinez is wanted by most Celtic fans and some fans are saying if Lennon takes over it could be a step backwards. The role will be decided at the end of the season.

Celtic left in agony as Bayern Munich Steal Last Minute Win

A Javi Martinez late goal denied Celtic the draw and Champions League qualification.

The game was about to start and then through the speakers came the song of You’ll Never Walk Alone which the Celtic fans sang their hearts out at this time.

Bayern started the game the better of the two sides having most of the ball and having shots from Arturo Vidal and Kingsley Coman pass them by.  Following a lengthy spell where Bayern dominated possession Celtic were able to steal the ball from the German Giants.  Stuart Armstrong had a cross played into him which fooled the defence, an easy chance but a poorly timed shot. About 10 minutes later Coman charged on a run after a ball was threaded through to him and he took the opportunity to score for the away side. For the rest of the half Celtic were having their fair share  of chances and won a couple of promising corners. Bayern Munich didn’t have many shots but had a good amount of possession. The whistle for the second half went and teams went in at the break with Celtic trailing by one goal.

The players came running back out for the second half. Following the start of the second half  Celtic managed to charge straight up the park and won a corner which was cleared by Bayern’s defence. Nir Bitton a couple of minutes later had his 32 meter free kick denied by the Bayern keeper. A  short while later David Alaba hit a shot from the edge of the penalty area which travelled straight into the hands of Craig Gordon. About 10 minutes later James Rodriguez fires a shot at goal but a great save from Craig Gordan denies him. Then James Forrest creates some space for himself and unleashes a shot which is blocked by a defender and Celtic win a corner. The corner was over hit by Stuart Armstrong. A minute later Kieran Tierney shows brilliant passing ability after picking out James Forrest with a lofted pass. James Forrest slips it through to Callum McGregor and shows brilliant composure inside the box and fires the ball into the bottom left corner to make it 1-1. The lead only lasted three minutes as  David Alaba sent a lofted pass to Javi Martinez who rose above the defenders to meet the ball and heads it into the back of the net. The referee added another 7 minutes on to the end of the match. The game began to run away from the Scottish champions as Bayern began to pass the ball around their defence with ease. After what seemed like forever the referee blew three times on the whistle to signal the end of the 90 minutes.

The match was a very good game between two very good teams. Celtic were very unlucky not too get the draw. Now they have to look forward to the PSG and Anderlect game.
