We’re in the 21st century where a lot of company’s are producing water especially “SmartWater”.
Although, Smartwater has a unique name because smart is in front of it but the real question is that does it really make you smart.
SmartWater is made by a British company Glaceau which makes this water by filtering it like any other company but SmartWater gets its name from what its water contains:
- SmartWater then adds back in the electrolytes calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, and potassium bicarbonate “for taste.” part is important because the nutrition label still reads 0 mg of sodium, and the amounts of electrolytes added have essentially zero “gatorade-effect”.
The majority of people can find this name misleading but due to the evidence I have presented makes you understand were it got its name from. But some class these ingredients as harmful, both Vitamin Water and SmartWater contain electrolytes, which are ions of sodium, chloride, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphate and hydrogen carbonate. Sports drinks contain these, too, and they are overly hyped. Studies show that for most of us, water is perfect for hydrating oneself during exercise, but due to these ingredients it could slow hydration and might make you need to drink more.
Although you may think water is just water, its an essential part of our: exercise, lives and education without water none of us could live on this planet or hydrate after exercise or even keep our brains functioning. I think we should have some idea of what we are drinking and the benefits and negatives of it such as: the chemicals, where the water has come from or even the process of its collection. We should all maybe take a glance at the label on the back of our water bottles from time to time you never know what you could be drinking.
