Well done to everyone who took part in the drama club production of Oliver! It was a huge success with great singing and fantastic acting. The costumes looked great too. The audiences loved it and over 3 shows more than 600 people watched it!

Remember folks it’s the drama club’s production of Oliver this week with performances on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Wednesday morning. Full dress rehearsal on Monday for the cast. School pupils will get to see the show on Wednesday morning for free!!!

Hi all
As mentioned today, I’ve negotiated with your teachers to get some time out of class for you all on Friday to work on the school show. Please spend some of your election day rehearsing and going over lines and song words.

After weeks of whole cast auditions, large group auditions, small group auditions, paired auditions and individual auditions, vast amounts of deliberation and debate. Finally the cast of Oliver! 2012 know what parts they are going to play.
Unfortunately it is impossible for everyone to get the part that they want, otherwise we would have 10 Olivers, 16 Nancys, 14 Dodgers, a handful of Bill Sikes and numerous Fagins. However, everyone did so well during the audition process and each and every person has a part to play, so together we will put on a fantastic show.
Congratulations to Lauren Stewart (Oliver), Melissa Dearie (Dodger), Amy Morton and Brooke Somerville (Nancy), David Carruthers (Fagin) and Adam Patton (Bill Sykes).

Hallside Drama club have announced that their summer show will be the musical ‘Oliver.’
Casting auditions have begun and Mr Bamford, Mrs Harrison, Ms Castro, Ms Fulton and Mrs O’Hara are currently trying to decide who will play Oliver, Nancy, The Artful Dodger, Fagin and all of the other amazing characters. This is a really difficult job and they are going to take their time!
Songs sung in the auditions include ‘Food Glorious Food,’ ‘As Long as He Needs Me,’Oom Pah Pah,’ ‘Consider Yourself,’ ‘I’d Do Anything,’ and ‘Reviewing the Situation.’
It’s left us all ‘wanting more!’
