Following Wednesday’s 21-1 opening league victory over Burgh Primary, two boys teams went off to represent the school, and South Lanarkshire at the Pan Lanarkshire round of the Scottish Schools FA Championships.  The team wearing our red kit finished a very creditable 3rd in their section. The team wearing our blue kit managed to top their group, remaining undefeated and without conceding a goal.  This means they have qualified for the Regional Finals, to be held in the new year in Dumfries & Galloway.  Well done boys.

Angles

I visited P7a today to take part in their maths lessons and I had a brilliant time (I also had a lovely time yesterday joining in volleyball with P7 and doing some mapping with P6a.  Will be visiting P6b and P6 at the end of the week).

Anyway, P7a were looking for, and photographing obtuse, right and acute angles all around the school.  So while I was out with them I snapped a few angles of my own.  Gold stars to anyone who can identify what they are and where they are in the school.

Obtuse                              Right                                Acute

They are all outdoors and within the school grounds.  You can post your answers as comments here, or you can tell me face to face in school.  Good luck.

Pudsey Comes to Hallside – Thanks to Greggs and Ella

Thanks so much to Debbie and Isobel from Greggs who were there to help Pudsey and sell some of his cool wristbands, ears and stickers.

And thank you to Ella Gallo (P3a) who was the person responsible for Pudsey’s visit today.  She is a member of the Pupil Council and told Pudsey and his friends from Greggs all about our charity fundraising, and of course, they wanted to come and meet you all.  Well done Ella.
