Bronze for Athletics Team

Congratulations to the Hallside Athletics team who, on Friday, travelled to the John Wright Sport Centre to compete in the Cambuslang and Rutherglen Sports Hall Athletics Finals and finished in 3rd place, just three points behind the team in second place, with the winners only one point further ahead.  What a close contest and a real team effort.  Well done.

The team consisted of:

Clair White, Megan Gemmell, Jordan Donnan, Angus Robb, Kieran Stewart, Ethan Horn, Heather Jackson, Zoe Paterson, Ewan Little, Lewis Slivinski, Morgan Hannah, Emma Waugh, Russell Menzies, Blair Sutherland, Carys McLynn and Zoe Yeung

Well done P3a

Just back to my office having been to see P3a’s amazing show “Eddie the Penguin Saves the World.”

I really enjoyed it and the performances were brilliant.  The message of simple small steps making a huge difference to global warming was clear for all of us in the audience.  The songs were great, it was superbly narrated and the costumes were adorable.

Well done P3a.  A huge success.

Clyde 2-1 Stirling Albion

Back from going to the Clyde game today and they won 2-1.  I met a few of you from school there, taking advantage of the kids go free offer, so that was great.

I have to say a very big thank you to Gordon Mason and Gordon Thompson at Clyde for inviting me along and making me so welcome.  Hopefully there will be more exciting things to come from the link up between Hallside and Clyde FC in the coming months.

New League Sponsor

I am delighted to announce that the new sponsor for the football league that I run for local primary schools is Clyde FC.

They would like to invite all the pupils (Under 16s) to their game on Saturday for FREE!

They play Stirling Albion at 3pm on Saturday 12th January at their home stadium, Broadwood, in Cumbernauld.
