First Half – Celebrating Clyde’s First Goal
Arriving, Welcome, Warming Up & Mascots
Clyde 4-0 Elgin (The Hallside Effect!)
Well done to Clyde who won 4-0 today as we took more than 100 Hallside visitors (pupils, parents, aunties, grannies, grandpas and staff) along to cheer them on.
Our future football stars performed their 10 second challenge on the park at half time.
Especially well done to Liam Smith, Murray Fulton, Oliver Cameron & Reece Paterson who were the four who scored their goals. Andrew Rushbury and Ethan Horn were on fire in goals.
Terry McMillan and Lauren Thompson were the official club mascots who went into the dressing room to meet the players, helped warm up the teams and helped with the coin toss.
Thank you to all the adults who came along to lend their support.
Thanks too to Gordon Mason and Tom McKenna and all the very friendly people at Clyde for inviting us along for free and making us feel so welcome.
As always, the pupils were impeccable and a credit to the school with their behaviour and enthusiasm.
Let’s go Clyde, let’s go!
I’ll post batches of pictures as I go through them.
Clyde vs Elgin Trip
We’re off to cheer on Clyde FC again tomorrow. We’re taking 98 pupils, parents and staff to go along and lend our support. Lauren Thompson and Terry McMillan will be the offical team mascots on the day and 22 of our pupils will be going onto the pitch at half time to take part in a 10 second challenge.
I’ll post some of the best pictures here next week.
For those going, see you at the school at 1pm. Remember to wrap up warm. You can bring snacks and drinks, but remember no cans or bottles allowed. We should be back at the school again at around 5:30.
There is a brilliant article about the school’s visit to Clyde on the Clyde FC website.
P6 team in the TSB Junior 7s
Well done to the P6 boys football team who represented Hallside in the TSB Junior 7s tournament on Wednesday.
They narrowly missed out on a place in the next round after playing superbly in all three of their fixtures: winning 10-0 and 5-2, but unfortunately, despite numerous chances, including hitting the post, twice, they went down 2-1 to the eventual winners of their group.
Perfect behaviour, impeccable sportsmanship and brilliant football as always.
