Overnight Scores

Ok, I’ve counted up all of the scores for all of the events for all of the teams (that’s 10 events x 20 teams!!!).

Lots of teams have changed places when the field events are factored in along with the track results we announced today.  Full results to come on Wednesday.

Sports Day Day 1 – P3-4 and P1

The sun shone and the sport was fantastic as our Commonwealth Sports days got off to a flyer today.

Well done to all the competitors who took part today.  For those of you taking part tomorrow, make sure you bring water and sun block as it is going to be even hotter!

I hope you all the pupils and families enjoyed the day.  Please leave a comment here to let me know what you thought.

Here are some pictures from the Games Day 1.

Eurovision Song Contest 2014

Not ashamed to admit that I am currently tuning in to the Eurovision Song Contest.  What’s not to like: it’s competitive singing!!!  Also a good way to test your knowledge of European flags!

So far our favourite is perhaps Armenia! Also quite liked the Mumford & Sons style of Malta.

Post a comment of what country you like (if you dare admit it!!!)

Think I’ll issue a gold star on Monday to anyone who posts who they think will win before the end of the show.

My new email address

Please note that over the next week, all school email addresses are being migrated over to GLOW Mail, which means every teacher address, the office address and the addresses of the management team will all change.  We will let you know the new addresses soon, but apologise if you experience any delayed responses over transition period.

For the time being (at least) I will no longer receive my email directly to my phone therefore you might not get your usual quick reponses to emails.

My new email address from next week will be:

gw07bamfordrobert@glow.sch.uk

(catchy!)

P7s Arrived Safely

The P7s arrived safely at their destination in Perthshire at around 1:45pm.  When Ms Russell phoned the pupils were all checking out their accomodation and unpacking.  Weather was looking good (at that point!)

I’ll keep you updated throughout the week whenever I hear from them.

Football Tournament Tomorrow

As part of our links with Clyde FC, and due to our recent excellent performances in the Scottish Cup, the boys football team has been invited to take part in the Glasgow Schools Football Festival.  Unfortunately we only found out about it yesterday so apologies for the short notice.  The event will be held tomorrow (23rd April) at Toryglen Regional Football Centre 12.30-2.30.  We will be sending two teams so the boys involved will come home with letters today.
