Digital Schools Award

In October 2021 we were awarded with a digital schools award. This award recognises that the school has a strong commitment to ensuring that children’s digital experience across the school will develop their technical skills and confidence in the safe purpose, use and creation of digital technologies. Furthermore, the award recognises the way in which digital technologies are integrated into daily teaching and learning and used as a tool to extend and enhance pupils learning experiences. At Bargarran Primary School, we have a wide range of digital resources that are easily accessible and regularly used by pupils and staff. We also regularly review our use of digital technologies to ensure that we are striving to continually improve how digital resources can be used to enhance the teaching and learning experience.

In 2024, we received the Digital Wellbeing award for Cyber Resilience and Internet Safety. This is a special recognition award and the first initiative of its kind to be delivered in the U.K. It is designed to provide resources and support to help pupils safely navigate the digital world.
