FUNDRAISING

Flapjack Friday is back!! Primary 7 will be selling homemade flapjacks before playtime each Friday beginning Friday 20^th May 2016. Each flapjack will cost 50p.

On Thursday 26^th May Primary 7 will also be hosting a fundraising Carnival Day. Each class will be given a time slot to visit. Primary 1 – 3 are asked to pay a £1 flat fee to participate in all of the activities. Primary 4 – 6 can choose and pay per game. Each game will cost between 20p and 50p each.

ADDITIONAL IN SERVICE DAY

Whitelees will be used as a polling station for the EU Referendum on Thursday 23rd June 2016.

This day will be treated as an additional In Service Day therefore children should not attend. Letters distributed today.

DIG IN DAY

As you will be aware our annual Dig In Day takes place tomorrow from 10.00am – 12.00pm

We would love as many children and adults as possible to come along and help us make our outdoor learning space a fantastic resource for our school.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible tomorrow, I believe the weather has to be dry and a little sunny, perfect gardening weather!

FREE SCHOOL MEALS AND CLOTHING GRANT

Applications for free school meals and clothing grants are now being accepted by First Stop Shops.

If you think you are entitled to either please call into the office for an application form. Alternatively you can download one using the link below.

www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals.

Primary 1 – Primary 3 children are all automatically entitled to a free school meal under the government scheme, there is no need to apply for this.

P7 ACTIVITY WEEK

Due to a slight change in the timetable for today the bus will be leaving Braehead at 3.30pm and not 3.00pm as previously advertised.

A letter was distributed last week with detailed information and timings.

Thank you to everyone who came along to our Open Afternoon today.

It was very well supported with a huge turnout. We were pleased to see so many parents come to visit their child’s class

We hope you all enjoyed the afternoon’s activities.

BEAT THE STREET

We’ve dropped out of the top ten.

It’s to be a lovely weekend this weekend, let’s get out beating the street and see if we can move Whitelees back up the leaderboard!
