PE KIT AND BIKEABILITY

Sports

Children in primary 1, 2/3, 3 and 4 will have come home today with notes they made themselves with regards to outdoor PE and Bikeability.  This is for your information only.  Once our timetables are set for outdoor PE and Bikeability you will be informed by letter which days your child will require their outdoor PE kit and bike and helmet.

Apologies for any confusion!

Summer Show Costumes

As you know the whole school are busy rehearsing for the summer show.

Your child will have a clear notion of their part in the show by now and can advise if they have an alternative costume that is required.

ALL ORPHANS – The Primary 4-7 pupils are playing orphans from the Whitelees Orphanage and, if possible, are required to wear scruffy clothes and bring in dusters or cleaning utensils.

NYC GIRLS – should wear party clothes.

BOYLAN SISTERS – party clothes

All other cast members will be given a breakdown specific to their character.

Our dress rehearsal is next Monday but we would be very happy if pupils could start bringing these items in as soon as possible and they can be stored in the classroom.

We would also love it if pupils could bring in family photos that can be played on the big screen as part of a slideshow at the beginning of the show.  These would be scanned and returned the same day.

We are all very excited for the show and your help and support in providing costumes and photos is very much appreciated.

 thanks-1

Meet ‘Wendy the Whitelees Waste Warrior’!

Wendy

Primary 4 realised the dining hall was becoming far too messy and so took it upon themselves to find a solution! They designed and created their own version of a ‘Waste Warrior’, using the Whitelees Warrior for inspiration. Leona and Eva both managed to create characters that were so fabulous Mrs Hunter and Mrs Oliver decided they should be combined. ‘Wendy The Waste Warrior’  was the outcome and both girls are thrilled!

Primary 4 also invented a brand new Waste Warrior song and proudly introduced and performed this in front of the whole school. Listen out for it in our summer show! Each day, Primary 4 are responsible for helping to keep the dining hall spick and span and give Dojos to the children who try hard to do the same.

They are pleased to announce that the Dining Staff have reported a remarkable improvement in the amount of mess left over, after lunch.

Well done Whitelees!
