We have so many talented pupils here at Whitelees from piano players to singers to magicians, martial arts and gymnasts!!!  What a fabulous array of entertainment today at our Comic Relief Talent Show!

Well done to everyone who took part and to our very deserving winner Eva from P2/3!

RED NOSE DAY

Don’t forget our “Dress Funny For Money” day tomorrow for Comic Relief!

Children can come dressed “Funny For Money” for a cost of £1.  All monies raised will be donated to Comic Relief!

We also still have red noses on sale for £1 each!

LEPRA FUNDRAISER

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Lepra Fundraiser today!

The children all had a ball learning and performing their dance!

We don’t have a final total as yet but I believe we raised an outstanding amount!  We will find out next week what we raised and we will, of course, let you know once we do!

Thank you once again for your continued support.

USED STAMPS APPEAL!

Stamps

Our Waste Council are again collecting used stamps this December for the RNIB (Royal National Institute for the Blind).  The used stamps are sold to raise money for the condition Macular Degeneration which affects the eyesight of many elderly people.

We would be grateful for your donations of used stamps.  Please send them into school with your child.

THIS WEEKS’ WINNERS!

Check out this weeks’ winners!

We had two “It’s Good To Be Me!” pupils this week.  Lauren showed us all her fabulous dancing trophy and Sophia shared her beautiful paintings with everyone!  Thank you girls.

The Charity Council told everyone about their plans for Children In Need next Friday.  Don’t forget to wear something spotty and bring your £1 for this amazing charity.   We look forward to  seeing everyone’s “Pudsey Jumps”!  Letters in bags tonight!

Not forgetting our weekly class Dojo winners and this weeks Effective Contributors!

Congratulations to all our winners!

YOU CAN HELP FEED HUNGRY CHILDREN IN KENYA!

world-food-programme

You can help feed a hungry child in Kenya!

During Scottish School Meals Week next week Unilever will donate one meal to the World Food Programme for every 2 school meals purchased in North Lanarkshire Council schools.  These meals will feed a hungry child in Kenya.

On Tuesday 1st November we will be offering Chicken Korma instead of Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding.

On Wednesday 2nd November we will be offering Meatballs in Tomato Sauce instead of Quorn style chicken tikka.

On Thursday we will be offering Hoi Sin Chicken instead of Tomato and Mascarpone Pasta.

The menu for Monday and Friday will remain the same.

We hope you will help us support this wonderful cause!
