Primary 6/7 and Primary 7 are holding a World War ll coffee afternoon on Wednesday 12th October 2016 at 1.30pm. The children made their own invitations which were sent home last week however, just in case yours hasn’t made it’s way to you yet this is your invitation to come along and join in. You can see all the wonderful work the children have been doing on World War ll and buy some tea/coffee and cakes!
All primary 6/7 and primary 7 parents/Grandparents/Aunts/Uncles are welcome to come and join the fun.
Last week’s visit to Whitelees by Ian and his Mobile Military Museum had an extra edge as our pupils were filmed to appear on Forces TV!
Army veteran Ian Inglis has taken an interest in the World Wars and forces memorabilia and turned it into an educational experience for our P6 & 7 pupils to enjoy as part of their WWII studies.
Thank you to everyone who came along to our Meet The Teacher. It was great to see so many parents.
We hope you found the evening helpful and informative.
Thank you also to everyone who completed our parent evaluation forms. We had an overwhelmingly positive response to all questions posed. Only two parents ticked the amber box and nobody ticked the red box for anything other than being on our email alert system which can be easily rectified.
We also had some very positive comments:
“Was very good to see how much work they have done in such a short time.”
“Very happy with the Teacher evening, lots of info shared, thanks.”
“Impressed by the attitudes for my children.”
“Feel very confident and happy with the school.”
Informative and engaging.”
“School is a great school and help from Teachers and Head Teacher is great.”
“Looking forward to another fantastic year.”
For those of you who expressed an interest in joining our email alert system and left your email address these will be added and you should start to receive emails. If you expressed an interest but didn’t leave an email address please contact us with your email address and we will ensure you are added to our system.
