HALLOWEEN ASSEMBLY
We had a spooky Halloween assembly today! Mrs Hunter had prepared some “treats”! Children were chosen by a fruit machine randomiser to take part in the activities. They dooked for apples, played Beanboozled and told some Halloween jokes!
Not detracting from our weekly celebrating success assembly we also presented certificates to our Confident Individuals and Weekly Class Dojo winners! Well done to everyone!
We had two “It’s Good To Be Me!” pupils this week. Naima brought in her amazing trophy for Taekwondo and Aaron brought in his Player of the Week trophy to show everyone! Well done!
We celebrated the Birthdays and there were quite a few as we had everyone who had a Birthday over the last two weeks!
WHOLE SCHOOL PANTOMIME
As you will know we have arranged a whole school pantomime for Friday 1st December. The cost is £10 per child and we would remind you that the final payment date is today. Thank you to those who have paid in full. We would respectfully request if you have not yet paid that you send the money into the school as soon as possible along with the permission slip. You can find a copy of the letter on the website under “parents” and “correspondence”. If your child is not attending the pantomime please let the school office know and be aware that they will not be able to attend school on that day as all staff will be accompanying the children to the pantomime.
Many thanks for your continued co-operation.
HALLOWEEN TEA PARTY
Mrs Hunter hosted her monthly tea party today with a Halloween theme! Girls and boys who hard worked exceptionally hard and those who were lucky enough to receive an invitation in their Birthday card came along to enjoy our Halloween treats!

CUMBERNAULD AND KILSYTH UNIFORM BANK
Cumbernauld and Kilsyth School Uniform Bank are organising a series of local school uniform exchange events. The first one will be held in Abronhill. This will take place on Saturday 18th November from 11.00am – 1.00pm at St Lucy’s Church Hall.
Parents and carers will be able to exchange uniform they no longer need, for uniform that their children do need. The event is entirely free and uniform can be exchanged free of charge. If you have nothing to exchange you can select a few items (with optional small donation). The purpose of this event is to recycle good quality pre-loved uniform and provide access to low cost/free uniform for as many families as possible.
They will have stock from schools in the area, as well as secondary schools young people in Abronhill attend – plus any schools requested. They will be bringing uniform from the following schools:
Abronhill Primary School
St Lucy’s Primary School
Whitelees Primary School
Carbrain Primary School
Cumbernauld Academy
Greenfaulds High School
Our Lady’s High School
