WORLD BOOK DAY
We are excited to celebrate World Book Day on Friday 6th March!
Children are welcome to dress up as their favourite book character or simply come to school wearing something comfy and cosy for the day. They can also bring in their favourite book to share and enjoy with their classmates.
We are very much looking forward to celebrating the joy of reading together!
PARKING
We have been made aware of cars using the Whitelees gate to pull in and drop children off for school. For everyone’s safety we would politely request that you do not use this school entrance and exit point as a drop off. If you witness anyone using this area please report it to the police.
Many thanks for your co-operation on this matter.
P1 ENROLMENT
Today is our final P1enrolment session for 2026-2027. This will take place between 3.00pm and 4.00pm. If you are in our catchment area please come along to the office with your child’s birth certificate and your current Council Tax bill to complete the enrolment paperwork with a member of staff.
We look forward to welcoming you today.

REMINDER
A quick reminder that children can wear some Christmas sparkle to school tomorrow if they wish. School will also close at 2.30pm tomorrow for the Christmas break.
We hope you all have a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year when it comes.
PHONE LINES
We are having ongoing issues with our phone lines and are currently unable to receive or make calls. Please bear with us whilst this is investigated. If you need to get in contact with the school please do so by email at enquiries-at-whitelees@northlan.org.uk. If we need to get in contact with you we will make calls from an unknown number.
CHRISTMAS NATIVITY AND CONCERT
The children are doing their final preparations ready to welcome their audiences on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday evening for our Nativity and Christmas Concert. All tickets and chairs are numbered, please check your ticket to see your seat number.
Wednesday Afternoon
- On Wednesday afternoon the doors will open from 1:10pm, although the show won’t start until 1:30pm, this gives adults a chance to get some refreshments from the Parent Council stall and heat up before the show begins.
- We expect the show to last around 1hr 25mins with the final songs taking us up to 2:55pm. All children will be dismissed from classes at 3:00pm from their usual doors by class teachers.Â
Thursday Evening
- On Thursday evening, the doors will open at 6:00pm for children who should go directly to classes to get ready.  The doors will open at 6.15pm for adults to visit the Parent Council stall and take their seats. The show will start at 6:30pm.
- We expect the show to last around 1hr 25mins with the final songs taking us up to roughly 7:55pm. At the end of the show, we will call parents/carers to go to classes to collect children. You can then exit via the main office doors.Â
- Adults who will be collecting children after the evening show but are not at the show, will be welcomed in at 8:00pm by our Clerical Staff through the main office doors. Please enter the hall and wait for your child’s class to be called.Â
- All children NEED to be collected by an adult. No child will be permitted to walk home alone.
We appreciate that plans may change and that children may have other commitments on the Thursday evening but we hope as many children as possible return to make our evening performance a success. If your child is unable to attend the evening performance, please let the class teacher know so alternative arrangements can be put in place.
Thank you for your co-operation and we look forward to welcoming you all on today and tomorrow.
