Burns Celebrations
Primary 1 and Primary 2/1 had a lovely afternoon celebrating Burns’ Day. They enjoyed Scottish dancing, music, tasted some Irn Bru and shortbread. They even watched some good old fashioned Singing Kettle…altogether now… ‘Ye cannae shove yer Granny aff the bus!’
Number Talks
Some of Primary 3 from Primary 3/2 were able to use their Number Talk multiplication strategies to work out some SEAL word problems.
Number Bonds
Primary 2/1 are developing a good understanding of their number bonds.
Working Hard
Primary 3/2 have been working hard on using their phonemes in dictation tasks. They have been developing their problem solving skills for multiplication using SEAL arrays and Number Talk strategies. Other children have been learning to sequence numbers using SEAL activities.
Writing Day
Primary 3/2 are working hard on differentiated writing tasks.
Art Techniques
Primary 3/2 experimented with ink wash techniques on their Romulus and Remus landscapes.
Practical Maths
Primary 3/2 competed differentiated maths activities. Some children are using arrays for multiplication and some children worked on addition and subtraction.
Romulus and Remus
Primary 3/2 completed detailed visualisations on the story of Romulus and Remus
See, Think, Wonder
Primary 2 used the ‘See, Think, Wonder’ routine to help introduce their new Romans topics.
